How to Maintain Color Protection

The Summer bring s Color, but the sun and heat can cause major damage to your color-treated hair. A  few ways to care for your color is: When shampooing your hair try not to use hot water, make sure it luke-warm, or cool water. The hot water will open the cuticle and cause color to be removed. Always use colored treated shampoo and conditioners on your hair. If you’re going swimming wet your hair with a little bit of regular water to protect it from the chlorine while you’re in the pool. When you’re at the beach try wearing a hat or use a leave-in UV absorber conditioner.

How to Detangle Hair

Tangled hair is the worst thing to have and trying to get them out can be a headache. The first thing you want to do is make sureyou use a conditioner after shampooing your hair. Then apply a leave conditioner on the ends of your hair and massage it throughout the hair.  Next you will use a wide tooth comb and begin combing from the ends to the roots. If you are styling your hair while it’s dry make sure you apply a serum to the ends and then use your wide tooth comb.  If you have this problem frequently you want to make sure you use a detangling shampoo, followed by your moisturizing conditioner, then yourleave-in conditioner, and deep condition treatments every two weeks.

Protecting Your Hair During Summer

The summer is here and the last thing we want to be worried about is our hair. You want to have options on ways to protect your hair. The most important thing is keeping the Flat Iron and other hot tools out of your hair.  Some great styling options would be wearing your hair curly or wavy, twisting it, adding hair extensions, roller sets, braids or a short haircut. If you have to use heat make sure that you use a thermal protectant before using your hot styling tools. Make sure receive your proper hair treatments for your hair, and shampoo your hair once a week.

*Individuals with natural hair should make sure they are doing their cold water wash with an intense moisturizing conditioner, once a week.

A way to give your hair break, great way to change up cut/hairstyle

Try a quick weave! A quick weave is basically a stocking cap that has bonded hair pieces, it's done in about 30-45 minutes and last for 3-4 weeks without removing it daily. It's a great alternative if you are growing your hair out or if you do not have chemically relaxed hair. 

Hair Up-Keep: Wrap it up, use a pomade and wax and finger through the hair sculpting and shaping the style you desire.
