How to Keep Your Curls

Do you love lustrous curls, volume in your hair, do you struggle with curling your hair and makng  making your curls last?  Gerri Styles My Hair has a quick easy tip for you! The quick fast easy way to solve this problem is to use Hot Rollers. Hot Rollers are the best thing to use on your hair to keep curl, less heat damage, and it creates a long lasting curl!

Products/Supples:

Hot Rollers

Oil Sheen or Serum

Rat Tail Comb

Vent Brush

Lightweight Holding Spray

 

First Step 

You want to plug your Hot Roller into the outlet, so they can begin warming

Second Step

You want to section your hair depending on the type of volume and amount of curl you want to have. If you are trying to maintain curls you have already, follow the sections that havealready been created.

Third Step

Spray a little bit of holding spray and make sure the hair is smooth (Oil Sheen only if needed)

Fourth Step

Beginning rolling your first section starting from the front of your hair and working your way to the back

Fifth Step

Let your rollers set for 20minutes are until you’re ready to style your hair!

Sixth Step

Remove Rollers, finger through curls, and spray oil sheen or holding spray as needed.

H2O for Hair Growth!

Water is very important for our body and hair. If you’re notgetting the proper H2O it could lead to dehydration which canstop hair growth. H2O also helps with cell reproduction, so if your hair cells are not able to reproduce this could cause your hair to become dry and brittle. Drinking the right amount of water could help with dandruff and hair thinning. Try drinking 8 to 10 glasses daily.

Hair Intervention with #GerriStylesMyHair

This month Gerri decided to do a search for that one special person who could be your friend, family member, co-worker, or just someone you think of daily who needs a hair makeover!!Sometimes we get caught up in our daily routines and our hair is the last thing on our “To Do List”.  So, Gerri decided to give away a free hair makeover. To qualify, you had to send in a story of a person you thought needed a make-over, tell why, and attach a photo! After reading various stories,  this one story stood out to me. 

 

Letter Entry:

Let me start by saying… My mom is a beautiful person inside and out. She goes above and beyond for her family including me, my brother and now my daughter. She works hard at her job… and After relocating to Raleigh NC to be closer to my family, it wasn’t long before she desired to work again. She works in the Medical field and loves her job.  She treats everyone like they are her family.  She has been a caregiver for my brother who was diagnosed when he turned 33years old. She’s dedicated to making sure he makes all of his appointments. Now to the gritty part.. My Mom needs this hair makeover! She has never been a girly girl! She does not wear make-up or like to dress up, I can say we are so different! Butdon’t get me wrong she cleans up well, but it’s not on her priority list! Give her a neon hair bow she’s ready to go! Not only does she needs a hair makeover she deserves it, because she is more focused on the well being of her children that she often neglects herself. However, I want her outside to match what I see within.
